YOU ARE EVER A SLAVE

Bible Scripture: You Are Ever A Slave if you fail to comply to the following ways

MEMORY VERSE: "Don't you know that you are slaves of any one you obey? You can be obedient slaves of sin and die, or you can be obedient slaves of God and be acceptable to Him. Now you are set free from sin and are slaves of who please God" (Romans 6:16-18)

Romans  6:16 Know ye not, that to whom ye yield yourselves servants to obey, his servants ye are to whom ye obey; whether of sin unto death, or of obedience unto righteousness?
6:17 But God be thanked, that ye were the servants of sin, but ye have obeyed from the heart that form of doctrine which was delivered you.
6:18 Being then made free from sin, ye became the servants of righteousness.

No one is absolutely free. You are either a slave to righteousness or unrighteousness. You cannot be a slave to both at the same time. At any given time, no matter how short, you must have a master to whom you attach yourself and who you have to obey (Luke 16:13)

Luke  16:13 No servant can serve two masters: for either he will hate the one, and love the other; or else he will hold to the one, and despise the other. Ye cannot serve God and mammon.

You either obtain your freedom from satan i.e sin. (I say satan because satan is synonymous with sin) to serve God or your freedom from God to serve satan. (Galatians 5:1),

Galatians  5:1 Stand fast therefore in the liberty wherewith Christ hath made us free, and be not entangled again with the yoke of bondage.

The Choice is ours as always

Our freedom from God and by our own decisions not fulfilling our intended noble end brought us in collision with God, having abused the freedom granted us at creation. We have subjected ourselves to the vanity, the emptiness and nothingness of this world (Genesis 3:17-18 ; Ecclesiastes 1:13-14).

Genesis  3:17 And unto Adam he said, Because thou hast hearkened unto the voice of thy wife, and hast eaten of the tree, of which I commanded thee, saying, Thou shalt not eat of it: cursed is the ground for thy sake; in sorrow shalt thou eat of it all the days of thy life;
3:18 Thorns also and thistles shall it bring forth to thee; and thou shalt eat the herb of the field;

Ecclesiastes 1:13 And I gave my heart to seek and search out by wisdom concerning all things that are done under heaven: this sore travail hath God given to the sons of man to be exercised therewith.
1:14 I have seen all the works that are done under the sun; and, behold, all is vanity and vexation of spirit.
Until you are dead to sin, you will continue to be under the dominion of the devil who is the spirit of satan. The devil when it ovulates, produces various eggs and when hatched in millions, produce all the desires of the raw natural unspiritual instincts that wage war against the master, righteousness from which you have obtained your freedom (Romans 6:20).

Romans  6:20 For when ye were the servants of sin, ye were free from righteousness.

Remember that Christ Jesus died to sin for us all and you should die with him so that you can become slaves to God (Romans 6:7).

Romans  6:7 For he that is dead is freed from sin.

Anyone who has died has been freed from sin, as a dead person cannot sin again, so is the person who is dead to sin. If you sin then you are not freed from sin and therefore a slave to sin. (Galatians 5:7).

Galatians  5:7 Ye did run well; who did hinder you that ye should not obey the truth?

You are a slave of this world when the emptiness of this world dominates your life. You are a slave of the unseen until the new Jerusalem I.e when the progress of God's garden dominate your thoughts. This happens when you are very supportive of evangelistic efforts at all levels of your Church (Matthew 6:33).

Matthew  6:33 But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.

When Programmes on the electronic media take you away from congratulations service or other ecumenical active; when obscence videos attracts your attention; when your interest comes before that of your church, then you are conforming to the systems of this world and are therefore a slave of this world.
You may now ask yourself whose slave you are?

In some other ways, while you may see yourself as a slave of righteousness, you are still perhaps a slave of customers, superstition, tradition, fear, false belief, financial planlessness, doubt etc.
